Adobe has released the latest version of Lightroom
Classic which can be installed from the Apps tab in the Creative Cloud desktop
app.
-Introduces new process version P/V 5 & ACR 11.0
-Single step HDR Panorama Merge with bracketed shots
-Depth Range Masking for supported images with depth
information
-Improved mask overlay and eye-dropper tool for
Luminosity Masking
-Improved Tethering for Canon cameras
-HEVC video support on Mac OS 10.13 or higher
-New Camera Support
Canon EOS R
Fujifilm X-T3
Nikon COOLPIX P1000 (preliminary support)
Nikon Z 7
Panasonic LUMIX DC-LX 100 II
This is just another regular update. The product remains
known as Lightroom Classic CC, rather than using an annual convention e.g. 2018
or 2019. So the old thinking about version and dot releases no longer applies as
there are no more perpetual licences. We simply move from v7 to v8 without
fanfare and customers would normally only need to quote the installed version
when seeking support.
The blog release around the Adobe MAX conference this week
shows the continuing development of the Lightroom ecosystem including LRCC,
Mobile & Web, building on all the enhancements and new features seen in LR
Classic v7.
